Buckle up because Pascoe has your travel kit essentials planned out for you!

Thinking of starting your travels back up? It’s definitely been a while since we all have been able to get out there and start exploring what this beautiful earth has to offer. With all the restrictions that have been put into place it has really put a hold on traveling in the last little while. Good news is, things are starting to open up again allowing individuals to travel from one country to another.

For most, this has been a great time for people to brainstorm on their next adventures. Let’s dive into different kinds of travel kits and checklists that can be extremely useful for your future plans!

Travel Packing

We all know that there are two different kinds of packers out there. The ones who over pack and the ones who under pack. Do you know which one you are?

Of course, depending on your travel plans, under packing could be beneficial for backpack travelers. Having an easier load is more beneficial as you're always moving around with your belongings.

An over packer can be okay for the ones who go on all-inclusive or even on a cruise ship as these types of travels don't necessarily have the need to keep moving their luggage. However, keep in mind that there’s overpacking a few items, and then there’s really overboard!

Whether you're traveling with a companion or alone it is always important to have your essentials with you.

Staying Organized

Staying organized may not be everyone's specialty, however there are ways to help you stay organized through your packing and adventures!

First thing to keep in mind prior to packing would be to figure out your destination of travels. This will help you prepare correctly what it is you should pack in your carry on and luggage. As there are different types of travels such as:

  • All Inclusive
  • Backpacking
  • Cruise Ships
  • Family/Friend Visits
  • Work Travels
  • Volunteer
  • Group Tour
  • RV Road Trip
  • & so much more

Secondly would be to check all your personal items such as passport, driver’s license, credit cards and any other specific documentation that may be required for your destination of adventure. Even in some countries, depending on the length of time, may require a travel visa to be issued. Doing the research prior to departing will help ensure a smooth outcome of your trip to give you the relaxation you deserve and to minimize the risk of ending your trip sooner.

Now that you know where you’re going, it’s time to pack! Researching the climate will give you an idea of what kind of items to pack.

  1. Cold destinations: Warm clothes, shoes, jacket etc.
  2. Warm Destination: Summer clothes, swimwear, sunscreen, etc.
  3. Active Trip: Hiking shoes, water bottle, bug repellent, etc.
  4. Road Trip: Travel guides, comfy wear, emergency car kit etc.

A great packing tip would be to do any of your vacation shopping one week or so before departure. This is a good idea, so you don’t forget anything that you wanted to bring.
