Cellulite is a very common, harmless skin condition. This condition causes symptoms on the skin such as lumpy looking dimples on the thighs, hips, buttocks, and abdomen area. Not to worry yourself, this is a very common condition within women. 

Below we will talk about how cellulite and varicose veins develop within the body. Ways to reduce inflammation and improve the appearance of unwanted cellulite.

What is Cellulite and how does it develop

As fat cells increase, they push up against the skin. Tough, long connective cords pull down beneath the skin. This creates an uneven surface of dimpling, often referred to as cellulite. Cellulite is a very common, harmless skin condition that causes lumpy dimples on the body's surface. 

It can be developed under so many factors like wearing tight clothes, high heels, long periods of sitting or standing all have a negative impact on our blood flow and lymphatic system preventing proper circulation.

Although cellulite is a cosmetic issue and not a disease, it nevertheless may lead to substantial psychological strain and contribute to limited quality and enjoyment of life. As it may not always be something with feel, it is something we see.

Varicose Veins 

Varicose veins are also a symptom caused by cellulite. These are enlarged twisted veins. Varicose veins can appear anywhere in the body however most commonly appear in the legs. At times, more noticeable once sitting down.  

Spider veins are a milder type of varicose veins that appear in a lighter form through the skin appearance. The reason for it being called spider veins as they resemble “spider web” in a red or blue color form. They can potentially be uncomfortable at times due to the significant fluid retention.

Varicose veins are caused by increased blood pressure within the veins. When the valves become weakened or damaged, blood can collect deep in the veins, causing them to enlarge.   

Factors

Lack of exercise - We are all aware that lack of exercise will trigger several health factors. This means the increase of cellulite will appear as a symptom. The lack of movement causes the fat tissue to build up and decreases circulation.

Sport drinks - Although a form of energy drinks will not increase nor give cellulite. It’s rather the amount of sugar and caffeine that will affect the symptoms. In these cases, replacing your sports drink with water intake is much more sufficient to balance your body fluids.

Inherited/ Genetics - This role has a big impact on our body development. Cellulite tends to run in the family's genetics. However, females are mostly prone to receiving it. 

Sun Exposure - Another fact concerning the development of cellulite is sun exposure. It is known that sun exposure does worsen the appearance of this skin condition. The UV rays can be extremely dangerous to the skin. It is important to protect our skin tissue and apply the proper sunscreen to use that extra precaution.

Hormones - You’re probably wondering how this has an impact. Well, looking at substances that women take, for example, birth control affects our estrogen levels. A common influence on cellulite development.

Nicotine - Reduces the circulation in the tissue. The metabolism is weakened, and fat storage is encouraged. As many other things due to nicotine, the collagen fibres in the connective tissues are damaged as a result.

Although there are many risk factors that take into place, the cause or accumulation of cellulite there are ways to help monitor and improve this condition.

Treatment of cellulite and connective tissue

Even in the given time, there is no guarantee that any treatment to eliminate cellulite will be effective. Getting rid of cellulite isn’t a possibility for a forever solution, however there's ways to improve and reduce the amount of cellulite that may appear. 

There are several ways to treat cellulite. Exercissing and keeping fit to help tone the skin and keep muscles firm. Strength --> training and building muscles is a great way to feel and look good. 

Drinking enough water to help nurture your skin. Eating enough fruits and vegetables to receive all your delicious nutrition. Like most health conditions, weight loss would assist the appearance of the skin -the key is to always stay hydrated. 

Looking at a more exceptional direction would be laser treatment. There are multiple laser treatment methods to help reduce the appearance of cellulite. Preferably on that is FDA approved as the research and testing has been developed behind it.
