Insomnia: Tired & Hypersensitive:
Sleep requirements can vary from person to person. Short sleepers get by with six hours or less, and long sleepers need eight hours or more per night. However, there is a common factor: a lack of sleep in the short term leads to a significant reduction in performance. In the medium and long-term, those affected are vulnerable to both physical and mental illness (1). It is here that individual approaches to medication and behavioral therapeutic treatments are needed, helping those affected to fall asleep faster, sleep well through the night and wake up feeling refreshed.
The Synergistic Combination of Homeopathics and Herbs:
Behavioural therapeutic measures are an important part of the treatment of insomnia. Until long-term changes in behaviour and daily routine are entrenched, a great deal of time can elapse in which accompanying medication is necessary. Chemical hypnotics and sedatives such as benzodiazepines may help in the short term. However, due to the potential for dependency and side effects, they are not suitable to take over a prolonged period of time.
In this case, homeopathy provides a good tolerable alternative without any known potential of dependence.
