Spotlight: Dr. Stephanie Yaremko, ND

Dr. Stephanie Yaremko has been interested in herbal and naturopathic medicine for as long as she can remember.

When she was in grade school, she wrote a paper and presented to her class on herbal medicine and its benefits. While in university, Dr. Yaremko studied biochemistry, but wasn’t sure what direction her career would go, so she decided to attend a career fair. It was then when she decided that she wanted to get into naturopathic medicine.

Today, Dr. Yaremko has been practicing as a Naturopathic Doctor for 11 years. She graduated in 2008 from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). After graduation, she traveled to Nicaragua, where she worked for a year and a half in a hospital and community clinics, treating men, women and children with chronic diseases and infections.

After that, she found herself in Turkey. She stayed there for two years, helping refugees and asylum seekers and coordinating their healthcare. In 2012, she returned home to Canada to practice in her hometown of Calgary.  She works at Grassroots Naturopathic Medicine Health Clinic and is on the Alberta Ballet Medical Team. Dr. Yaremko has a family practice with an emphasis on anxiety and sleep disturbances. She treats both women and men, as well as children.

Dr. Yaremko uses many Pascoe products, but her favourites are Pascoflair, Neurapas, Lymphdiaral Drainage-Cream and Pasconal. “I often use Pascoflair and Pasconal for my clients with sleep issues, and to help balance their nervous systems” Yaremko comments.

Dr. Yaremko is not just a successful ND, she is a very interesting person! She loves to travel – she has been to every continent in the world! She also loves to do yoga, so much that she is even an instructor! But she clearly does have a passion for her work, as she is the Council Vice President for the College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta.
